What is Spellman Bookstore?

Spellman Bookstore is a small, independent bookseller devoted to care, quality, and atmosphere. Every book is inspected and wrapped by hand—never bulk-handled or rushed. Our purpose is to preserve the quiet art of the bookstore in an age of haste.

Orders & Shipping

How long will my order take to arrive?

We offer Standard Delivery (4–10 days) on most orders. While we allow up to ten days for careful processing and transit, most parcels reach their readers within 5–7 days.

Do you offer faster shipping?

Yes. We offer Express and Expedited shipping for an additional charge at check-out.

How much is shipping for non-members?

Non-members pay $6.99 flat-rate shipping for Standard Delivery. 
Orders of $50 or more ship free for Reader Members, while Collector Members receive free shipping on all orders.

Do you ship internationally?

At present, we ship only within the United States. The expansion of Spellman’s reach beyond these shores is planned for a later chapter.

What is the difference between Reader and Collector Memberships?

• Reader Membership (Free): Earn rewards, track purchases, 5% off Spellman Treasures and receive free shipping on orders of $50 or more.
• Collector Membership ($36/year): Receive free shipping on all orders, 10% off Spellman Treasures, and early access to book drops.
• Both memberships include a $5 store credit for every $100 spent.

How does Spellman’s membership compare to other bookstores?

• Reader membership is free, most indie bookstores do not offer rewards programs.
• Collector membership is only $36/year—less than comparable programs at major retailers, yet offers the same benefits: (free shipping, 10% off merch, and store rewards).
• Most books are priced within a few dollars of large bookstores and every Spellman order is hand-wrapped and sent forth with care.

How do I redeem my store credits?

Credits are (optionally) applied at checkout once you’ve earned them. You’ll also receive an email reminder when new credits are available.

Books & Conditions

Are your books new or used?

All books we sell are new or vintage editions in excellent condition. We do not carry damaged or marked copies.

Can I sell my books to Spellman Bookstore?

Yes—if they’re in pristine or new condition. We accept select books for store credit in Marks (our internal currency).

Payments & Returns

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Spellman Marks for store credit transactions.

Can I return a book?

Yes. If a book arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. Returns are rare; we take care to ensure 
every order leaves our hands in perfect condition.
